Hey Im thinking of switching from laptop to desktop gaming. Does this PSU check up on required amps, ect.

My specs are:
I5 4670K
256 gb SSD Samsung
1TB Seagate Barracuda SATA3
Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H
Win 8 64-bit
8 Gb ddr3-ram 1600
Asus original 780 gtx

Solution

Hi - ko thoroughly explained why you should avoid Raidmax as a brand of PSU.

Of the two Seasonic alternatives, the 650w gold would be the best choice.
More than enough power, gold efficiency. 850 is extreme overkill unless
you plan on adding another gtx780.

Thanks for the answers, but what is it specifically, that makes their PSU useless?

I am also considering 2 other PSU´s

Seasonic G-650 G-Series 80+ Gold

Seasonic M12II 850W 80+ Bronze

Raidmax earned a reputation for selling exploding PSUs.

They couldn't deliver the wattage specified on their label without going out of spec.

They were known for damaging attached devices like the motherboard, graphics card, hard disk drives, etc. when they died.

Their warranty period is shorter than industry standard which shows you how much Raidmax them-self trust the reliability of their products.
