My build, what do you think? (noob)

Everything is compatible. :)

Since you are using an APU you do not need a video card here (If you are fine with its performance).

However there is one thing you are missing out on. It is not necessary, but you should add it too. I am talking about an Optical Drive (DVD / Blu-Ray Drive).

Otherwise system is all cool considering you already own a copy of Windows or whatever OS you want to use. :)

everything looks good, however a couple of pointers:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4352#bios
http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=4352

Make sure your motherboard comes with BIOS version F5 by default cause of Richland are new processors and require an updated BIOS or otherwise maybe your CPU will not get recognized and you will not boot up properly.

BTW Asus have this cool tech called USB BIOS FLASHBACK that allows you to update a bios without a CPU, search that up, it may help you.

and hooray for not buying an CD/DVD ROM, who needs those nowadays good thinking

Yeah you are right. Professional is waste and is not needed.

Sincere advise - Get windows 7 instead. Windows 8 is pain in rear to use. If I were you, I would choose something more easy to use and efficient than some colorful screen full of tiles replacing my standard start button and all corners of screen confusing the hell out of me.

yes i reckon you need to purchase a copy of Windows 7, and use a spare computer to transfer the installer to USB, i like to use this guide:

http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-install-windows-7vista-from-usb-drive-detailed-100-working-guide/

however did you grasped the BIOS issue in the gigabyte motherboard ? are you sure you want to proceed ? i like gigabyte motherboards they are durable, but my issue is what if that mobo came with an outdated BIOS ? and you insert your richland APU and it didnt boot up ?

Yes, that version issue is a problem. USB BIOS FLASHBACK doesn't work on my motherboard right? What should I do now. Get another CPU or motherboard? Thanks.

I've emailed my computer shop. Maybe they will know what version BIOS is on the motherboard.

Good job on emailing the PC shop, if they confirmed that it will ship with update BIOS then go for it and do not change anything, if they didnt help much, ask them if they this shop is local if you can pass by and they update the motherboard for you using any compatible CPU lying around there shop, its ok good computer shops will do that free of charge you just ask.

If the above was a no go, then you have 2 choices:

1) Change your APU Choice to a Trinity based one and not an Richland one the trinity equivalent of your CPU in trinity is this :

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113281

2) Or purchase an ASUS motherboard that supports USB BIOS flashback for more info on that watch :

And with the above motherboard with that feature you can update the BIOS without a CPU in mobo, thus you can stay with your current richland CPU.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot man! I will buy that AMD A8-5600K CPU. It's even less expensive.
