3570k vs 3770k

I am going to be doing a four screen, eyefinity system - 3 for gaming...and the extra one as a desktop. Ultimately, I want to watch movies or stream from the internet while I play games like BF3and4, Skyrim, Neverwinter, and the like.

Would the 3570k or the 3770k be better? What would the community reccomend?

Higher resolution doesn't really impact the CPU load, so use what you would have used with one screen. For gaming, the 3570K would be fine. The 3770K isn't worth it.

I7 3770k's biggest plus over i5 3570k is the 4 virtual threads from Hyper-threading technology. Most games can't take advantage of Hyper-threading technology, therefor 3570k is a more sufficient choice. Plus, overclocking the 3570k would be easier, due to less heat produced.

So...running a game in the three screens and then running a movie/dvd/vidoe in the fourth won't be a big deal for the 3570k?

Nope. That depends on your VGA card(s) more.

It really doesn't com into play much other than the $100 ya save on the 3570k could be spent on GFX .... however 4 screens will need twin cards and CF is broken right now. heres some 3 screen benchies ....couldn't find any CF tho
