ide to sata help

i have purchased an ide to sata converter for my ide dvd drive but my bios will not detect it, it does detect my hdd but not the dvd drive, please help, i have spent a lot of money on this build and would really appreciate some help.

You need to make sure the jumper on the back of the Ide dvd drive is set to master.
If it is set to slave it will not be detected via the Ide to sata cable to the board.

Make sure you also have the molex power pin connected to the Ide drive.

Sata ports can only run one device on each cable, and are always set as master devices.
