In my bag was my wireless headphones when I went through security and my bag through the x ray machine, I was clear to go, later on when waiting to go on the plane my headset wouldn't work, I reckon it's because of the x rays, is it possible to fix the headset or is broken for good?

X-rays really shouldn't affect headphones (wireless or not).

^ Yes, it may be the impact ruined your headphones. They throw around baggages you know.

only microwaves could do something to electronics. x-rays definitely can not

The actual X-rays from the machine would not have been able to damage the headphones. It's not possible. It could have been just a coincidence that they happened to die, or it could have been from being stored in the bag, but the X-ray cannot harm your headphones.

You just have to have them run them though the scanner in reverse, the opposite sided X-Rays will just offset what the regular X-Rays did, and your headset will be like new again! Just like driving a car in reverse every other week to offset the miliage you put on the week before.

That was a joke BTW, although I would love to see if the security people sweat over breaking something. I've had laptops run though airport security with no issues, I doubt that a headset would have any issues with doing the same.
