At first , I thought my vga isn't good enough.

So I bought the new one yesterday . Too bad , the new vga doesn't solve anything :o

So I decide to format everything and install fresh windows.

But again ... seems like the problem still persist.

I don't know what to do now.

Even I set everything in game to lowest ( 1024x768)

Fps still randomly drop to 5- 15

here is my laptop spec

windows 8 64bit
MainBoard : GA-990FXA-D3
CPU : AMD FX-8150
Ram : 16GB DDR3
VGA : Nvidia GTX 770

Any suggestion would be appreciated

what power supply?

That is not a laptop. Those are desktop parts. And this is likely due to throttling, what do your temperatures look like? Also, lowering the resolution likely would not help framerates on your PC, because your processor is the weak point. Lowering the resolution puts more load on the CPU.

What game(s) are you playing? Does this happen to all of them, or just a particular one? If a game is older, or in beta, there can be optimization issues.

Do you have all your drivers updated?

Also, like expl0itfinder asked, what about your thermals? Overheating can cause... badness. (whoops, wasn't quick enough to hit the "post" button. However, your posted pic links to a different page - I can't see the actual numbers.)

Ok, that is under Idle. Now do something like gaming, and keep that open in the backround. Play for like half an hour, preferable something CPU intensive, and then post another pic. Core temp will record the highest temperature in game.

The heat is a little high, but it really isn't that bad. What about graphics card temps? I suggest using HWMonitor, as it measures the temps of everything. Open it, play for half an hour, the post the screenshot:

Ok, your temperatures are just fine. Try giving the CPU a bit more voltage in the bios, maybe something like .9v

Nope, I'm thinking about changing cpu and mainboard now.

What do you guys think?

By the way, just checking HDD with HDTune , all good.

No, at this point I think it is the PSU. Just because we have eliminated any other possibility, and you reinstalled windows. By the way, did Furmark run OK?
