Mysterious Freezing Problem!

My computer has started randomly freezing - I mean total deadlock (can't use num lock or caps lock. nothing). One time, after a minute or two, the freeze let up, but every other time this has happened, I have had to restart the computer manually only to have nothing happen when I restart the power. The screen remains black. I don't even get to the bios. There is also some barely audible clicking. If I wait maybe a week, the computer will start normally again. I have no idea what's wrong. Please help!

Done any trouble shooting ?

-Checked Event Viewer ?
-Any temperature or voltage issues ? (Run OCCT CPU and GPU tests)
-Run Memtyest86+ ?
-Any BSOD stop error codes investigated ?
-Any dmp files being created ? Had them analyzed at sevenforums ?

I can never get the thing to start up.. Can you give me some advice on how to get that information? I'm sure there are no heat problems and I'm pretty confident there are no memory problems (I have run memtest a few times). I have had some BSOD problems but the error code never has a solution available.
