Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($59.99 @ Newegg)

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card ($284.99 @ Newegg)

Case: XION XION Gaming Series XON-985-BK Black with BLUE LED Light Steel/ Plastic, Meshed Front Panel design. ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg)

Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.99 @ Newegg)

OS: Windows 8 64 bit

is everything compatible with this build? Am I missing anything besides the keyboard mouse and monitor? Will this pc play the most demanding games? Any info is appreciated

It should be able to play all games at max or close to max settings at 1080p.

I would get a better case but everything else looks good to me.

Get a gtx 760 intstead of the hd 7950. It is a hair faster than the hd 7950 and costs 250$.

The rest of your build looks fine to me..
