Hello,
Currently I have Dell Vostro 1015 Laptop with Intel Celeron 900 Processor @ 2.2GHz
with 1GB DDR2 RAM and 160GB Serial ATA Hard Drive

It some times hangs on web browsing mostly on Firefox.
So, I decided to Upgrade it's RAM and Hard Drive.

Here are the Upgrades :
(The laptop Overheats also). Here's the cooling Pad : http://www.flipkart.com/cooler-master-notepal-cmc3/p/itmdg35gzvnvdnkw?pid=ACCDG35AFG4CQ2H5&ref=76f7e20d-dbea-471a-ab13-e239e6b16289&srno=t_4&otracker=from-search&query=Laptop%20Cooling%20pad

RAM : 2GB Stick to make a total of 3GB DDR2 SD-RAM : http://www.flipkart.com/transcend-ddr2-800-pc2-6400-ddr2-2-gb-laptop-ram-jm800qsu-2g/p/itmd2rypgzmtsheg?pid=RAMD2RYPK4PFDWHJ&ref=01f9aecd-a981-453a-85ec-179aebd9b30f&srno=t_1&otracker=from-search&query=2GB%20DDR2%20Laptop%20RAM

Solid State Drive : http://www.flipkart.com/ocz-agility-3-60-gb-ssd-internal-hard-drive-agt3-25sat3-60g/p/itmd4f29yffhaquv?pid=IHDD4F28AHJTSZNY&ref=769d3ae1-42e1-4526-a35b-c4b4b46beece&srno=t_4&otracker=from-search&query=60GB%20SSD

Operating System : Windows XP. or Maybe I'll be installing Linux Ubuntu which is even better ??? Which do u think ?

Are these upgrades enough for just daily computing tasks ? Like checking e-mail, web surfing, watching you tube, facebook, and most importantly FB Video Calling.
I want this laptop to last just for 2 Years more, after which I will be getting a new PC.

Any Help ???

Yes with the ram and ssd that would boost the performance especially if you used the ssd as the main drive stuff should load better

So, Should I upgrade ????
With Windows XP, I should see a big performance boost ? Not by a big margin but still noticeable ???
AND with RAM and SSD, It should run faster ??????
