Will resetting NAS wipe data?

Hey everyone,

Just a quick question.
I have a Synology Diskstation DS112J and I'm wondering if resetting the unit will wipe all of the data on the HDD.

I'm talking about pressing the reset button on the back. I want all of the data on the hard drive to remain intact (IE: all of my personal files) but the NAS itself should be put back to factory default settings.

Should I be worried about losing the files on the hard drive?

Solution
No.
First reset option resets the default username /password / IP
Factory reset will re-install the OS. (Does not wipe existing stored files)
Manufacturer does state you should backup your data before OS re-install to prevent accidental data loss though)
