I want to run some CAT6A about 12 feet straight up the wall to an upstairs room.
I want the cable to have both ends female. That way I can just plug straight into the wall.
How should I? just get one of these? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812196666

Also since I would be going CAT6 would the CAT5e connectors hinder the cables performance? Or should I replace them with these CAT6 ones? If I can even do that.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812996091

Same speed, but go for 6a if you can.

You could, though the noise might increase slightly. Won't affect speeds for a long time yet though. They differ slightly IIRC; they should have the same impedance as the cable. Minuscule problem though, and some of the wiring in my place goes into the wrong type of jack.
Over that distance, anything with 4 pairs is fine. I've run GBe over cat5 before, and most of my place is wired up with Cat5e.

Either of those will work, though you'll need to find a faceplate for the second. And yes, you can punch anything into any socket, though it might cause trouble over long distances/excessive data rates. Be worried if you want to do 10G over 50m, but everything else is fine.

Punching them in is infinitely easier than crimping the plugs - that is a nightmare. I know from doing about 50 of the things.

Im tempted to go Cat5e for convenience. The thing is we will be getting Gigabit Internet service from Google. Cat6A is the same price as 5e and faster. Availability is the same as well.
So I could use the Cat6 with the cat5 faceplate jacks? The RJ45 connectors DO NOT DIFFER from cat5 to cat6 correct? Just the twist and spline.

Also could someone point me to a punch tool or a cheap kit with a punch tool? Thank you
