I recently built a new system including a AMD radeon 7970 HD.
Full spec is
Intel i7 3770k running @ 4.4ghz
Corsair hydro H80i
Corsair HX750
Samsung pro series 265gb SSD
Sapphire OC 7970 3gb
While playing games like arma 2, namely Dayz mod, takistan life mod and wasteland mod it crashes while I'm running around. Sometimes the screen will go black for a while, then sometimes it will come back and say "Display driver AMD stopped responding and has succesfully recovered"
Arma2 oa will have crashed as you cannot get back into it.
Sometimes the machine will crash completely, and when you log back into windows it will say windows recovered from an unknown error. When I look in the event viewer logs it just says "kernel power" as the issue.
Has anyone experience this before, as it is becoming a massive bug bear of mine. I have tried deleting the drivers then using driver sweep, and also reinstalling the game and even windows as well but to no avail. I'm tempted to switch over to nvidia but as I've only had this a month I don't want to spend more money unnecessarily.
