How do i tell what ram this is??

You can tell a lot about memory just by the packaging. The various DDR's have different pin and notch configurations such that you can't put DDR2 in a DDR3 slot and vice versa.

Neieus is right about CPU-Z, but only if you can get the Ram working in a machine.

Well, you can try CPU-Z if you have it installed in your system as mentioned in the above post. Else search for the manufacturer's part number mentioned on the memory module or search for the specification which should look something like this PC3-8500U or PC2-5300F or PC-3200S. Only sometimes the sizes will be mentioned so going with the part number is the right way. So if you could post a pic of the memory or provide me with whatever is mentioned on the memory module I'd be glad to help you with it.
