Can I boot windows from an ssd that's mounted on a hard drive/ssd bay on the top of my case?

Yes. Use boot menu and select appropriate drive. Usual shortcut is something in F9-F12 range.

I know how to select the boot device I just wanted to know if the bay on top of my thermaltake overseer RX-I works the same way as regular internal bays
