performance to me is what matters most, to use dual SLI GTX 780 it will cost $1320 and single Radeon 7990 cost $1020, I was planning to go for sli gtx 780 classified when it was announced but now I am not so sure what matters most in its performance especially since the Radeon 7990 is a duel gpu. im primarily concerned about it being able to run battlefield 4 , what they showed at e3 was on a 7990

Solution

Oh....I though you were asking about sli.
BTW there is currently only one NVidia dual gpu ...the gtx 690..It costs around 1000$ and has little to no issues in most games.
And I am not saying that a single gtx 780 is faster than a 7990. I said that gtx 780 SLI is much faster than the hd 7990. And by the way higher gpu clockrate imply does not mean better performance. There are various other factors like no. of shaders, no of ROPs, Memory bandwidth, and most importantly architecture...

I would say go with the gtx 780 SLI.......Firstly it is a lot faster than the hd 7990.....Secondly and more importantly, a lot of games have driver issues with amd dual gpu cards so it is better to go with NVidia SLI...

Nvidia SLI has little to no issues in most games unlike amd crossfire...
If you want to see it simply see the tom's hd 7990 review and you will see it underperforming in quite a few games..

2 final question then how is the gtx 780 faster when what its clocked at is lower then the 7990? also you still haven't said if the NVidia duel gpus not sli have the same problem, as well as how much better are duel processor gpu cards then single?

And to answer your last question the most powerful dual gpu card the gtx 690 is almost 25-30% faster than the fastest single gpu card...the gtx titan.
