Hello, my name is Randy and I am here to inquire some information and maybe an idea or two from the community.

A little background. I have a gtx 570 ds and I've not been happy with my temperatures. In my stock case (CM690II) I was getting up to 95c playing battlefield 3 at 1900x1200

So I decided to have a bit of fun and installed a bunch more case fans. "Optimized" the airflow and now I am playing BF3 and getting around 79-83c with the gpu cooler (stock) at 90%. Which to me isn't bad by any means but it just doesn't seem right for the amount of airflow I am pushing.

So allow me to fill you up with some additional information about my computer and add some pictures.

My case is a Coolmaster 690II

My Mobo is a asrock z77 extreme4

My Processor is an i5-3470

My Video Card is a Gtx 570ds

My Ram is 8gb ddr3 1600 Crucial ballistic sport

My Hard Drive is a samsung spinpoint F3

I also have multiple case fans.

I'll provide links with some pictures in a minute. I just want to post as to not lose all the information I typed already.

Mobo and CPU never go over 50 even at high loads. Usual is 43-47c. No OC what so ever. I use Precx to monitor and control only.

idle temps of cpu is 35c, gpu is 42-43c and mobo is 34c.

you went with EVGA so you have a 3 year warranty or maybe longer.

With those temps I do not suspect anything is wrong with your case setup so congrats on that.
If this card has been running for a year or two it may just be time to take the shroud off of that thing and give it a good cleaning. you may also consider taking off the heatsink and replacing the tim.
last resort is you RMA it and hoipe the send back something completely new. I read the review for that card and it seems to be a good cooling system except for a handful of people .

Best part is, the Gtx 570 is new. I RMA'd my gtx 560 ti and they couldn't replace it so I got this as an upgrade for free. I also just replaced the thermal paste that the card originally came with. It was far more water than paste. I used Arctic silver 5 as a replacement. Temps went down 7% overall when I did that.

that is good news. I would not think that your new GPU should run much hotter than your gtx 560ti.

If your idle temps are getting into the 30's that is a good sign.

you also may want to try and undervolt ithe GPU and run a couple of the heaven benchmarks to test for stability.

If the card is really new it may just need a little burn in time. I would run it pretty hard a couple of times.
