If you are looking to mainly play BF4 and want an AMD card because they are going to be optimizing BF4 for AMD, DEFINITELY don't get anything less than the 7970. You can watch for deals on Newegg and superbiz, good ones (make sure to get one with a non-reference heatsink/fan setup) like the Sapphire Vapor-X have been as low as $350, which is a total steal. The non-ghz edition ones (like the sapphire dual-x oc with boost, which I own) have listed for as little as $300! If I were buying now, I would still get the GHZ edition tho since it has better quality parts for not much more money.

If you play plenty of other games, have cash to burn, and may game at a resolution higher than 1080p, go for the GTX 780 (or if you are not averse to...

You can wait for amd volcanic islands gpus to release i.e 8xxx.or if you want a graphics card now get an amd radeon hd 7950.It's best bang for the buck.

Will the 8950 cost around the same as the 7950?

The hd 7950 outperforms the gtx 760.And now the hottest titles are made by amd such as hitman absolution, crisis 3,bioshock infinite, tomb raider etc

Wrong.

there is no right or wrong. It was just a suggestion.
For your information the 760 has boost speeds upto 1176mhz while a standard hd 7950 has only 800mhz.There are some sapphire factory overclocked versions from sapphire and obviously you can overclock it manually to 1ghz or higher but even with good coolers the 760 won't overclock that much extent.

Splendid

probably not at launch since the 7950 will get a price cut to clear out the old stock... But there should be a nice perfromance boost etc since the new cards should be made on a smaller process node. Heck if it really works out good then something like a x850 might have similar (or even better) performance than the 7950 at much lower power consumption. (I used an 'x' there since it is unclear whether the new cards will be 8000 or 9000 series, OEMs already got 8000 series cards that are just rebranded 7000 series cards...)
