Can 1x 4GB 1600MHz work with 1X 2GB 1333MHz.

I have 2 slots on my motherboard(GIGABYTE H55M-S2H) and so far i have been using Kingston 2x 2GB 1333MHz combination.

And now I bought 1x 4GB Transcend 1600MHz, so now its 1x 4GB 1600 (Slot#3) and 1x 2GB 1333(Slot#1).

After upgrading it into a slot i turned on my PC and in system info i can clearly see 6GB RAM but when i do a benchmark in a game(GTA 4 and Crysis) i don't get any higher framerate than i had before.

Please help me solve this problem.

Update:
I used my friends RAM 1x 4GB 1333 MHz Slot#3 with 1x 2GB Slot#1 1333 MHz and i still didn't get any performance improvement in games (the slot numbers are reported by CPU-Z)

Also here are my full system specifications:
Microsoft Windows 8 Pro (latest updates installed)
Inter(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 530 @ 2.93GHz (latest drivers installed)
ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB (latest drivers installed)
RAM 6GB
Hard Disk 596.07GB Total Capacity
Motherboard Gigabyte H55M-S2H

Update 2:
I think that perhaps the slots are the problem.
Should i try putting 1x 4GB in Slot#1 and 1x 2GB in Slot#3 ?

Please advise guys i really want this to work ...

The higher speed ram downclocked to 1333 to match your other ram. So you really just went from 4gb to 6gb so of course you won't see any fps increase. Even if you did oc the ram, you aren't really going to see any difference.
