Will this Gaming PC setup support max settings on Skyrim, BF3, etc?

Solution

It should definitely crank out 60fps on ultra. You may get a few slight fps drops, but it would be a good experience overall. Definitely worth the money.
I agree with the poster above me. You should have a hard time with BF3 on high though. And you could do Ultra if you don't mind 40-50 fps. But if you want 60fps constant, you will have to drop it to high. (IMO there isn't any noticeable difference.) That rig will chew skyrim up and spit it out, likely with a ton of mods installed as well.

So any new tech that could replace the parts i listed? maybe around the same price but could do better. Lets say i overclock the cpu. is the gpu what i would need to upgrade in order to achieve the higher settings or run the games more stable?

If you can spend the extra $50, then it is absolutely worth it. The 760 is one of the best cards on the market right now in terms of bang for buck.

How much better is the 760? Will BF3 play on ultra with no problem?

I already put this as best answer but i still have a question or more of a favor. Think you could give me a link to the correct 760 so i were talking about the same one. Or just let me know if it was the one i linked. Thanks
EDIT: just found this one with 4gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130937

would the 4gb one be a good idea for future games though or would the one you linked be just fine? and whats your definition of "insane"?

Going insane to me is in the realm of 100-150 mods lol. Not that there's anything wrong with that, hell, that's the spirit of PC Gaming. If you're willing to pay a bit more, than it is by no means a bad thing.
