Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade my GPU, and I was wondering if I could get a little help.
I originally bought the computer from Ibuypower about 3.5 years ago now. At the moment I'm just playing WoW. The 4890 overheated and is out of action, so I won't be using that at all for any crossfire, etc.
Here are my specs:
CPU - AMD Phenom II x 955 black edition
Mobo - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3154#sp
PSU - 750W corsair (I can get the exact model # if needed)
RAM - 4gb DDR3 1600 corsair
Case - Lexa S
Monitor - Asus 23" running at 1920x1280
As far as my budget for a new video card, I would like to keep it <200$. But the cheaper the better. I would like a card that will last a few years in case I decide/need to upgrade my other parts.
I had a friend of mine help me look a little bit, and he's got me wanting the GTX 660 by EVGA (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130826)
Thanks for any help! My friend recommended more RAM (up to at least 8gb) if I buy that new video card. Should i do that?
Thanks,
Scott
