Bottleneck gtx 780 and i5 3570k?

I don't get it, I saved up for awhile to get this card and now well maybe I was expecting too much but this card doesn't seem to be all that powerful. I added all these graphic mods to skyrim (yes still about skyrim) and get 100% gpu load and dkwn to 20-40 fps (usially 20's) in high forestry areas which I can understand but my friend gets ( or claims to get) always above 30. Here are his video and system specs in description.

How am I getting worse results then him? My system is in my sig.

I5 3570k @ 4ghz
8gb ram
Gtx 780 Superclocked w/acx cooler
1TB HDD 7200rpm
Resolution 1336 x 760

The 3570k should handle SLI 780 well, I am sure it is not bottling the 780. For your case, you need to check if yo are running the GTX 780 and not Intels HD 4000. This could be a problem in Skyrim when detecting GPUs.

did you uninstall the iGPU driver before you installed the 780's driver?

Yes I uninstalled from control panel the hd 4000 drivers the restart then installed gtx 780 drivers. And I plugged my hdmi cord into the card no motherboard outlet checked in bios and its detecting my card I believe.

First things to check...

Vsync enabled?

This setting changed?

Intel IGP driver has no bearing on the Nvidia driver when a discreet card is active. Also push your 3570K to 4.3Ghz

EDIT - Wait.. Resolution 1336 x 760? Are you serious?

ok well i just tried it with abunch of monitoring programs like EVGA precision X and i found out taht during the big battle i was only at like 20% GPU load yet getting only 11 FPS and alot of lag. i don't get it, hopefully somone here can help me figure out what is wrong. i even turned shadows to low and turned off AA and whatever the other one is called. here is some monitoring pics.

and i changed it in NVidia control panel like you showed in the picture, no improvement except when i turned shadows off there was a minor improvement

It's your resolution op. why did you buy a 650 dollar gpu when you game at 1336x760? You need a 1920x1080 monitor. I would return the 780 and buy a new monitor and 760

Not to be rude but since when does lower resolutions decrease performance?

At that resolution a 3570K isnt going to bottleneck anything. You're essentially choking the 780 with that monitor.

Ok yes I understand that and I will be getting a better moniter but first I would like to find out what's up with my current build and why I can't get a lot of npc's on screen. If you could take a look at the screenshots I provides in my first post it would be greatly appreciated. I believe it is 1. I don't have enough ram (shown in picture of ram usage) or 2. I got a faulty CPU ( one core is always like 10C hotter then the others so maybe its holding back the others?
