is there any thing wrong with my configuration ?fx 8350 asus, m5a97 v2.0? BSOD

I get BSOD while installing any Win OS.even tried linux,but my pc hangs in between.please help me out in case there is a configuration mismatch as i am new to this.

my rig-
fx 8350
asus m5a97 v2.0
kingston hyperx blu 8gb DDR3
SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 OC with Boost VAPOR-X
WD blue 1 tb hd
seasonic 600w psu

yes i updated to latest Bios as soon as brought it home.. i think there is something wrong with my hardware may be hard drive,i already have checked Ram but they fine.will update result soon.

What DRAM are you running, (Model #, is it a single 1x8GB, 2x4GB, 4x2GB, what freq)...Just with it being AMD would suggest trying raising the DRAM Voltage + 0.05 so if 1.5 sticks, then 1.55 and maybe raise the CPU/NB voltage + 0.04 from current

DRAM Model no is-KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX
and its 2x4GB module
tried at both 1600 and 1333 but no luck,haven't tried raising voltage though.

okay, so now i some how managed to install win 7,but the twist is.. i had to disable 4 of the 8 cores.... and this is really not good...
