I can load up any game such as Minecraft or mount and blade and after 1 or 2 minutes my computer freezes with all the fans going mental and my second monitor saying no input signal.

Its not a heating problem on the cores as they never exceed 45, the voltage remains around 1.1volts and there are no error messages to be found

This problem has only started happening in the last two weeks and is highly annoying

Solution
The next thing to check if you are sure it is not the cpu or it`s cores overheating Is your 7970 graphics card, I doubt it will be because it looks like your case has good air flow.

That then leaves in question the ram.
So I would take a stick of it out and take note of the timing values, and also the voltage required to run each memory stick.
Then take a trip into the bios of the board and verify it has detected the settings and set them right, if not manually set them yourself, save and exit the bios.
Sometimes just by upping the voltage of the memory dim slots via the bios can sort this problem out.
When your playing a game ect the memory requires more voltage as it is working harder so it may be the case that the small voltage...

When your playing a game ect the memory requires more voltage as it is working harder so it may be the case that the small voltage bump will solve your problem, just don`t go crazy you should be able to bump the voltage by 0.25mv in increments. test it each time you do see if it works.
