Well a few days ago I came on here asking about a Motherboard problem, when I went to my local store they tested it and showed it was just fine so I thought maybe something in my system was dead. Only problem was is that I don't have any extra parts to see what is dead so I brought it back to my local store and they turned on and boom it posts and I can get into the BIOS. So thinking it was my outlet I went home and plugged it into many different outlets and surge protectors but got the same problem that I brought it in for ( When i turn it on it'll post but when I try to enter the BIOS it seems to short itself and go straight to the American Megatrends splash screen) I find this very frustrating as I've been trying to fix this for 2 weeks and haven't been able to. It was also more frustrating when the guy in the store booted it up no problem and was able to get into the BIOS btw I need to get into the BIOS because it won't load windows and I need to set the bootpriority. But the guy did that in the store and when I came home to install it it gave me the ASUS splash then flickered for a millisecond of what seemed to be windows loading and then went to a black screen. If anyone could help I would be very happy.

Is it a USB keyboard? what kind of keyboard was the technician using? do you have any other USB devices plugged?

I wish nope the system recognizes I'm pressing delete because it will go to the American Megatrends screen much faster than when i don't I also tested the keyboard on my laptop and it works.

Yes it is a USB keyboard and I have my USB mouse plugged in and so did he when he booted it at the store but I've tried disconnecting everything in the back of it that isn't necessary.

Unplug your mouse and try again. Also, if possible use a different USB connector in a different location (As in connected to a different connector in the mobo).

Trust me i've tried all simple troubleshooting tips the only thing i can think of is that something is wrong with my house because it worked with their outlets but not mine.

Have you tried a different desktop? I've never heard of anything like that. Also, have you tried to remove the Mobo battery?

It wouldn't be the battery because as I previously stated I had them check it there and it worked just fine but the problem I went in there origninally for happened even though I got home like 20 minutes later after they tested it.
