I have an Asus P8H61-M LX3 R2.0 motherboard that has built in audio.
Windows 8 installed a random driver from Microsoft, 'Speakers (High Definition Audio)' which worked but I had some problems, I get blue screens because of an unknown driver, I just installed my chipset driver, I also have the latest display driver.
So I tried installing the proper audio driver for my PC which is the 'VIA HD Audio Codec' driver, when I tried installing it, it said "We can't find HD Audio device"
I got the driver from Asus' website.

I tried this using Windows 7 and it worked.
