In firefox, top left menu button, (should be orange and say firefox), click that and the drop down menu should have two columns, the right hand one should have add-ons with a wee puzzle piece next to it. Click it and it will take you to the add-ons.

Oh it worked now! I changed it from the same left menu button (Fiefox) , then Options!
I wouldn't notice that if you (PyjamasCat) haven't mentioned that button. Thank you.
I was trying to change it from the internet optio

That's great! Glad you found your solution! :)
Did a program you recently installed do this? I despise alternate home pages and add-ons that programs offer. They are getting sneaky with their wording and tiny fonts now haha.

I have no clue what caused this! I remember trying a website recommended by a friend to watch online tv ( I don't even remember the name of the site now) and from that day I had issues with my laptop. It started running too slow, my homepage changed, lost new folder button (now restored), and on top of these I had to change the battery, which I think has nothing to do with the other software problems..but still, I couldn't use my laptop like before. Now all the issues are solved except for "running slow" part.
At least I could solve the others. Thank you for helping me with the homepage one :)
