Hello!

The pre-applied thermal paste on my h100i has 2 dots of black stuff sticking on it. I went ahead and removed all the paste with articlean.

I would like to apply MX-4 thermal paste on my h100i ( I have i5 2500k ) but which method is the best to apply it?

Any advice? :)

Thank you!

Small pea sized drop in the middle of the IHS

Is the small pea method safe? because as far as I know it doesn't cover the entire heatsink once it spreads out.

@Jack - The link is not loading for me.

Doesnt have to cover the whole heatsink. The cores are right in the middle

Ah okay. I thought it was necessary to cover the whole surface, lol.

When you do the Pea sized method in the middle the pressure from clamping down the cooler will spread the paste over the IHS
