Hi All,

I'm building my first gaming/work PC and would greatly appreciate your advice/feedback. My budget is around $800. My component choice is kind of limited to what's available in this local shop (pcx.com.ph). Below is what I have so far. Do you think this is a good combination? would this last me at least 3 years (future-proof)? Thanks in advance. :)

Hi Jim/l89, To be honest, I have no idea what the 'k' stands for and have never done overclocking before. Do I need a better gpu? And what kind of additional cooling do I need?

Hey Leusoj, if there is the letter 'k' at the end of the cpu name, it means it is a special type of cpu specifically made for overclocking. It doesn't sound like this is something you are familiar with, and if that is the case, you can probably save yourself some money by getting a non 'k' type cpu.

As for your power supply, I'd recommend this one instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151119
