Hi there,
I'm currently playing around with the idea of making my own gaming rig--one that is able to record and edit gameplay videos for the purposes of Let's Plays as well as streaming on twitch using the Elgato Game Capture HD while maintaining an all-purpose functionality as well (browsing, watching shows, etc.). I bought the Elgato a few days ago and my hardware is struggling to make it run while gaming (granted I'm using a 1-2 year old Samsung laptop, hence the build)
To that end, I am also on a budget--$750-850 preferably but as long as it does not reach over $1000, I'm willing to stretch...this budget does not include monitor(s) so there's a bit of leeway--so after some research, I've come up with the following build:

With high quality gaming functionality and student frugality in mind, do you guys have any suggestions, comments, advice and revisions to this build? In what areas can I "scrooge down," as it were, in order to get closer to that budget without sacrificing power? I'm not looking for anything uber powerful or anything like that...just enough to make most games run at decently high settings for recording purposes. On that note, I'm not really considering overclocking or SLI/Crossfire configurations at this point in time as well.
I would like to stick to Intel and Nvidia hardware if possible, but if changing it would make me closer to the $750-$850 budget (as long as performance is similar), I may reconsider.
I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say. I don't really have an estimated purchase date at the moment but I'd like to estimate trying to put this plan into action within the next 2-3 months.
Thanks a lot!
