Ever since I bought this damned laptop I've had problems with overheating...
Playing FarCry 3, within 5-10 minutes of playtime, temps for the CPU reach as high as 90C!!!
The GPU hovers around 80-90C, but can also hit 95C sometimes.
So here's the thing. It isn't hot in my house, and I play on a table, or on my lap, angled in a way that the fan has more than enough room to function properly.
I even dissassembled it and re-applied some better thermal paste.
That cut down 5-10C at the most... Other than that nothing.

I've noticed the fan is so quiet compared to another laptop I have that is pretty low-end... It's like there is a speed that it does not register that the goddamn laptop is about to boil water and kick in.
NOPE, But get this:
While booting the laptop, somewhere between POST, and the initial "STARTING WINDOWS" logo, the fan WHIRLS UP LOUD AS F***.
I bet if it kicked in that fast while playing there won't be any overheating...
So what can cause this problem, it's like, for some reason the fan does not recognize that the CPU is getting hot and not kicking into high gear to cool it down...
