I have a Hp pavilion slimline s5-1204 desktop pc. It has a dual core pentium processor with 4gb of Ram and 1tb hard drive and I wanted to get a game so I attempted to download Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind. I tried to uninstall it but it won't do anything when I select uninstall. I went into the program files and deleted all traces of it but it still shows up in my programs.
Note: This computer runs Windows 7 home premium
I'd appreciate some advice on this. Thank You

Have you deleted the desktop icon? also, try going to start/show all programs and delete it there as well. then run an anti virus sweep. Then download and run ccleaner to lose any bad registry entries.
Check processes in task manager to see if you can spot anything running that is unusual. If all that fails, a total re install off windows may be required, but if it doesnt seem to be active in any way, and you dont use the pc for online banking you might just choose to ignore it.
Also, dont use the games software to uninstal it. use windows alter or delete programs. The games own tool is maybe no good on cracked software.

Well I am not too fond of having to redo everything that is on my desktop but i do use Glary Utilities and AVG and Malwarebytes but they dont detect anything from it I mean everything of that game is gone and yet it still shows up in the programs part of the control pannel but only there

Everything is not gone, that is why it still shows in "Uninstall". Parts of it still linger in the registry.
What else lingers elsewhere?

That's just the thing I mean I searched the hard drive for the game and also I deleted the system folders but when I go to uninstall on the control pannel I still see Morrowind but all it says is Morrowind and the Date that I installed it nothing else

And what still lives in the Registry?

Nothing that I know of. I'm not sure where would I check that?

Exactly. That is why I suggested a full wipe and reinstall from the start. With a cracked game you downloaded from somewhere, there is no telling what else it installed. And usually, it does.

Wipe and reinstall. Unless you like playing fast and loose with your personal data.
I don't.

Does that mean I have to purchase Windows 7? Is there an easy way for me to back up most of my computer's things without having to loose them all I mean I have all of these programs on here, but I saved all of my videos and music onto an external drive

Provided you have a valid Windows 7 key, you can get the Win7 ISO from Microsoft and reinstall.
All of the applications and games you have can presumably be downloaded again from wherever you got them. Reinstall them.

Does it suck? Yes, a little. But until you wipe...you'll never really know.

I know its risky but I mean I've had that game on this computer since september and I haven't noticed any issues is there are for sure way for me to check if i am at risk? I run numerous scans on my computer and come up with few little things but they always get resolved

And if <whatever> happens to be very good at hiding from whatever AV scanner you're using?

We know that there is at least one line item in the Registry, if nothing else in the list of installed programs.

You downloaded and installed a known cracked game - red flag.
You found "a few little things" - red flag.

If your stuff was connected to my network, there would be no option.
Nuke it from orbit.
