Hello,
When turning on the computer, the led goes through many codes. After logging in to windows 8 it finally stalls at 04. Sometimes it stalls at A0 but apparently that is nothing to be worried about. Does anyone know what this means?

My system specs are :
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H
INTEL CORE I5 4670K
COOLERMASTER HYPER 212 EVO
G-SKILL 8 GB (2 X 4GB)
GIGABYTE WIND FORCE 7950
CORSAIR TX750M POWER SUPPLY
SAMSUNG 840 SOLID STATE
SEAGATE BARRACUDA 2TB

Thanks. Any help will be appreciated!

OK. Here is something weird that I found while using my computer. When booting it up the code stalls on either 04 or D4 (cant tell which). However, if I restart the computer the code changes to A0 (which is what is supposed to happen, right?) Also if I put the system to sleep and then resume it the code will change to D3 (which is supposed to happen as well, right?).

Anyway, I have not seen any drops in performance in all the stress tests that I have done so far except for one.
Heaven Unigine 4.0 works well
Prime 95 works well
BUT none of the 3D Mark programs work. They come with the following message "Unexpected error running tests.
Workload Single init returned error message: Initializing process failed."

So would someone please tell me what is happening? I am really confused at the moment and any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Many thanks to Tradesman1 for helping so far!

Update

Ok, at this stage, I don't anything is wrong with my RAM. I ran MemTest86 for 4 hours with no errors. It went through 8 passes. Hopefully I will soon find out what is wrong with my computer.

I'm having the same issues with the exact same equipment. Everything boots fine, but the error code is still there and 3DMark doesn't work.
Also, my brand new, stock, processor fan won't spin. Any luck fixing the problem since your original post?

Hello,
I have started to ignore the error code. I am still getting it however my computer runs fine as far as I can tell. As with 3D Mark, that program started to work for me for no apparent reason about a month later. I'm not sure if this code is common on this mobo as a youtuber (named Austin Evans) has the same code on his mobo. I saw this on one or gaming rig walk throughs, however he didn't mention it.

As for the problem with your fan, I'm not really sure why it isn't working. I know this may seem silly at first but have you checked if the fan is connected to the CPU fan header on the mobo?

Thanks for commenting and I hope you fix your current issues!
