Can I Lower Timings on 1866mhz RAM?

Hey guys, I am thinking about buying a 32GB (4x8) 1866mhz set of Corsair Dominator GT RAM. However, the timings are 9-10-9-27. Is it safe to lower the timings to something such as 9-9-9-27 or even 9-9-9-24? I am asking this because I heard that better timings are important for gaming (which is what I mainly do on my PC) and higher timings will reduce performance. Thanks.

Lower timings are better, but the CAS Latency the CL) is the one where most gain can be made which is the first of the four base timings, can try going to CL8 like 8-10-9-27 which if it will fly will require additional MC and/or DRAM voltage...another jump is if you can lower the CR (command rate/timing) from 2N/2T to 1N/1T this can often be done with a DRAM voltage increase of + 0.06 or so
