i just bought an xfx (w/ ghost dissipation cooler) 7950 of course i want to overclock to get the most out of it. im stress testing with furmark and there are a couple of suspected oddities that i want to be assured are normal.
1. my temp are tested almost ten degrees Celsius more when msaa is 0 rather than 8? i cant explain that lol is that normal?, what setting should i put the stress test on?
2. on these 6 7950 cards ocing is maxed out at 1050 mhz http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7950-review-benchmark,3207-13.html ... i am currently on 20 mins in on stress test(at 0 msaa) at 1075 (gpu - 100% temp holding steady at 82 c) no artifacts and fps at solid 62 should i keep going up in the core clock rate, at what point should i stop, and should i change anything?

Solution
1. The card is probably throttling at MSAA x8. Most cards throttle when using Furmark as it is.
2. You stop when the temps get too high and you don't want to push the voltage too high. Also, make sure you are monitoring your GPU's VRM temps as well. HWInfo does that.
