GPU Getting Too Hot?

I just got my new GTX 650ti boost superclocked today and on idle it runs really well. It is like 30-35 degrees Celsius, but on games like bf3 it can run it on ultra with very high frames but he gpu goes up to 81 degrees Celsius. Nvidia's max gpu temp is 92 and that is a huge peak from 35 to like 81. Obviously on games like counter strike global offensive it has lower temperature, but should I blame the gpu, the game? or what?

Since it is superclocked can it be from that? since it is basically factory overclocked.

I even did a FULL dust clean up from my pc.

My cpu is a amd phenom ii x4 965 Black Edition 3.4Ghz(STOCK, never OC'D)

and it runs around 30 degrees Celsius idle and like 53 degrees max Celsius on bf3 ultra. Bottlenecking doesn't seem to be happening cause every game including bf3 is super smooth.

Any advice on how to keep it cool?

It's worrying be cause I think it'll die out fast. Cause from 30 idle to 81 is HUGE.

EDIT: Also do you guys think it a may be a PSU problem or no? My PSU is a Coolmax cr-550b. I've had it for a while now and even while full load i don't hear my psu acting up or anything.

Just pointing that out.

What sort of case do you have? If you want to keep it cooler, it may just be a matter of adding a fan or two inside your case.

can't find the exact model really. It's really similar to this( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... ) but on mine there are 2 fans on the side and one on top. The link I posted shows holes at the bottom but mine doesn't have that. The design is really similar though to that one.

If you can, take a pic and post it. (Or just look more to see if you can find it.)

What size fans do you have on the side, and top?

I would take out the card nd clean out all the dust from the fan then download msi afterburner and create a custom fan profile

The thing is it is brand new though. There is practically no dust at the moment. My old ati 4870 512mb was around 45 Celsius idle and like 75 max load. This new card runs cooler on idle but I'm not liking the max load temperature at the moment.

If its free of dust make a custom fan profile like I suggested. Will help a lot for temps

What speeds do you recommend? If you don't know already it is the 650ti boost superclocked.

Thank you

WOW! Huge difference. Even though I believe this may kill some of the GPU's life it's better than 80 celsius. Now it is like 50 celsius.

Thank you!
