Bro in law got a free pc with a low power phenom quad core, and a blu ray player, hes thinking of using it for a htpc, but it currently has a radeon hd 4350 in it, is this fine or should looking for something newer thats pretty cheap? I have a nvidia 210 1gb that he could use if he wont buy a new gpu or the 4350 isnt good enough. So use the 4350? use the 210? or what is a cheap recommended card for 1080p hd playback?

A HD4350 is more than enough for 1080p HD playback. But if he wants to play 3D stuffs in the future, he'd need at least a HD6450for proper 3d ISO files decoding.
