Hi

Can you suggest a good motherboard for a non-overclocker? This is for a home computer with Haswell processor. The computer is basically used for Adobe CS6 master collection work and as a media streamer with lots of storage attached directly or through Wifi.

I don't want to overclock. I do not play games, so multiple GPU is not needed either. I have a GTX470 Graphic card which I don't intend to change now as my CS6 usage is not too much.

At the same time I am willing to have the best chipset and board in other functionality. Price is no issue.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I stick with the big 3 Asus, GB and the Rock and generally look to the Rock first, if not happy there then it's a tossup between Asus and GB, and of course, client preference takes precedence..one thing I sort of watch is sales, even with overall declining mobo /PC sales, the ROCK and GB are about the only 2 that continue to grow in sales, MSI has been dropping steadily for about 4 years and in 12 Asus dropped some while the ROCK and GB increased. with the 3 I think QC is pretty equal, and the Rock gets an extra nod on support...plus I throw everything at thei boards and no problems

I have been out of the PC building scene for a couple of years now, so this must be a lame question.

Is the cloud features of ASRock has (waken on/switch off over cloud) standard in other motherboards? I like the idea of IP control of gadgets and almost all of my Camera/Media center equipment are either IP controlled or by RF->IR control. The IR panel is also interesting, but not needed if IP control is standard. So do other Mobos have similar features these days?

Thanks, Tradesman1...Let me do the search as well. IP control is something which I can make use of and has more practical use for me than having multiple GPUs or OC abilities. I like the fact that ASRock gives a lot of features than others. Need to read about them a bit.

Well Asus has Wi-Fi GO! on some models, which I think will do similar to Cloud features of ASRock. Not sure If Asus allows remote shut down, switch on etc. Cannot find anything similar on Gigabyte models. May be I have not looked enough.
