Sir, I am having an asus p5kpl am in motherboard which have 1 pcie x16 slot in its specifications. Now i am uprading my graphics card to nvidia geforce gt 240 1gb gddr5 which requires a pcie x16 slot, the problem is that there are only pins in place of the blue x16 pcie slot on my pc's motherboard . I want to know that whether the blue slot may be available or not on the computer shops? If not what to do?

Solution
If I'm reading this correctly, where the OP would normally have a blue PCI-Ex16 slot, s/he actually has a motherboard where the slot was never installed. Instead, it looks like slots below the PCI-Ex16 slot in this image:

If this is the case, you will need to purchase a new motherboard.

Yes, you r right
the plastic slot around the pins has come off or i want to say that there is no plastic slot on the pins.
This problem is delaying my graphics card upgrading. (sorry for bad english).
My motherboard has the slots - 2PCI, 1 small PCIx1, and in place of pcie x16 slot there are only pins like whose length is greater than the other pci slots on the motherboard. Please suggest me a solution so that i can upgrade my graphics card in earlier possible.(again sorry for bad english).

Please suggest me any way to fit the pins into the plastic back. Or I have to buy a new motherboard?
My pc has a 550w psu which i think is enough for nvidia geforce gt 240 1gb ddr5. I am in the budget for only one of two things i.e. either the graphics card or the new motherboard. What should i buy among the two?
