Let me tel you my current config :|

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.5 GHz
Gigabyte GA-G41M-COMBO-GQ motherboard with G41 express chipset(integrated graphics)
kingston 2 GB RAM DDR3
500GB WD Hard Disk 54000RPM
BenQ LED Monitor-19" 1366x786 resolution
Samsung DVD RW
iball Keyboard and USB Optical Mouse
iball Cabinet with SMPS (250W very basic, was bundled with cabinet)
Creative speakers(very basic model, also having problems with it)

so far i've come up with a list of upgrades:

4600rs for graphic card http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-am...DGQW&ref=f69d3cc4...

900rs for PSU/SMPS above 400/450W, suggest a model please

2500rs for 4GB DDR3 RAM http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-ven...EK6E&ref=20cf61f7...
(Not sure if the ram will work with my motherboard)

1.5k for speakers suggest a speaker too

Guys, please advice me regarding the upgradation, since this is the 1st time i'm buying a graphic card :-D

Overall get this :

Saphhire hd 7770 1gb ddr5 - rs 8100

Corsair value select ram 1333mhz 2gb - rs 1100

Antec vp 450w psu - rs 2700

Donot get locaL PSU ,they are all crap.they show 500w but they are mostly of delivering 200-220w power only

Hd 7770 is very good match for your resolution.it can play most games at highest settings. It will work with your mobo

the links are broken
u would not get a PSU in 900, u need to spend atleast 3k for it (if u don't wanna crappy PSU frying ur whole system) (sorry to say but that's how things stand), look a this one Corsair CX430 its 430W so u have limited upgrade options later, if u want u can get the CX500 for Rs 1k more that will allow u to add high-mid level graphic cards in the future
ur motherboard can suppot RAM upto DDR3 1066 MHz RAM normally and 1333 mHz Overclocked (i'm not an expert in RAM overclocking so can't say, best thing would be to go with 1066)
for speakers look at these Logitech Ls 21 2.1 Multimedia Speakers
also look at this GPU Gigabyte GT640 1GB i dunno why but Flipkart has Gigabyte cards quite cheap compared to other brands, this one is again a grand over ur budget but its a steal at its price

1. the graphic card u selected is one generation old
2. the RAM is 1600MHz which is not of any use since ur board only supports 1066
3. Sorry but u really cannot get a decent PSU at Rs. 1500

yes, that's true, so u might wanna keep the 1600 RAM if u can get it at a good price, and for PSU u can go for either that Antec one or the Corsair VS450

The best upgrade that you could do would be to go for a new APU + Motherboard + RAM

And sell your old CPU + Motherboard. You could get up to 4000-6000 if someone wants a Core2Quad Processor (believe me many are)
Put the Motherboard + CPU combo on Ebay or sell it in some local hardware shop or sell it to some friend if someone wants it.

CPU : AMD A10 5800K (with graphics and better than Core2 Quad) : Rs. 8000
RAM : Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 4 GB 1600Mhz : Rs. 2200
Motherboard : MSI FM2-A75MA-P33 : Rs. 4000
PSU : Corsair CMPSU-430 : Rs. 2911

Total : 11000 + 6100 (money from selling old parts)

This would be a good upgrade. I don't think that wasting money on old CPU is good in any way. And also you could get rid of your old components. But if you still want to just update your old rig, this is what you should do.

Graphics Card : HIS 6670 1GB DDR5 : Rs. 6000 ( DDR5 is a lot faster )
RAM : Transcend JetRAM 4GB 1333Mhz : Rs. 2200
PSU : Corsair CMPSU-430CXV2UK 430 W : Rs. 3900

Total : 12000 (approx)
