I'm sorry if my english isn't that great, it's not my first language.
First of all, I want to say that i'm a complete idiot hardwarewise, this is why I'm here. I'll be writing the whole story, even if it's pretty long, at least you will, hopefully, understand my question/problem.
I've got an old PC and a Rack Server (2/3 years old) which has got 4 internal servers (12 disks) and 2 PSUs, 800W each. Obviously, if I'm going to power up only 1 of them, I'll get:
a) Infernal noise
b) Spend half of my salary in electric bills
Now, the server is pretty interesting, each motherboard has got 2 processors [Intel® Xeon® Processor X5560 (8M Cache, 2.80 GHz, 6.40 GT/s Intel® QPI)], 6 SATA ports and a great RAID manager.
I'd like to push down the costs, as much as possible, initially I wanted to buy a motherboard which supported the 1366 socket, but the prices are pretty high and I don't wanna waste my money in case it won't work.. So, I'd like to buy a big tower case to store everything in, a VideoCard and probably a PSU. About the PSU:
I've got a Antec Voeding VP Power 450W, 7 PINs (3+2+2), while the motherboard wants 6. Is there any chance I can utilize it? Will I be able to connect power/reset as well?
