I am pretty sure there is a thread similar to this, but pardon my ignorance I am really lost and confused about the upgrade I am about to do...
I am a casual gamer, but lately, playing skyrim with mods literally got me addicted.
can't stop modding and playing this game, seriously.
Anyway, I am planning to upgrade my GPU. my Gtx 560 ti OC seems to be incapble of handling the mods such as high resolution texture packs, ENB's and AA + SSAO etc...BASICALLY I want to max out my graphics with mods, specially with ENB. BUT! I am not aiming for the best of the best, just want a good fps rate while playing with pretty graphics.
Now, to the upgrade question. Planning to get either a 660 2gb or a 760 2gb. Again, the confusing part for me is, is it my GPU or my CPU i need to upgrade? if both, then well..i cant dont have money for both.
Specs are...
GTX 560 TI OC 1gb gigabyte
i5-2400
8gb of ram.
I live in the Philippines, the only 760 available here is the Palit Jetstream, which is a butt ugly card IMHO. Im sure it performs well. Its 46 dollars more expensive than the twin frozer gtx 660 2gb non-ti. I am also planning to get the 7870 2gb but its way off my price range, but if you think that beats both cards, ill get that instead.

PS. The rig is also my work rig, meaning I edit video and high res photos using lightroom and photoshop, I was hoping that upgrading my video card will help me with these fields as well. Im sure processor wise and ram would be the obvious parts to upgrade, but pls help me justify that upgrading my video card would also benefit me with my work.
