Hey guys, i'm looking for an alarm clock and i want it too do these things, but frankly i'm aiming high, and i doubt i'll find one to do exactly what i want. I want to set up a system that.

Will turn my computer, and play an alarm tune, display the weather for the day, some todo's (morning workout/run) and maybe a decent picture or something. I want to also be able to set my tv to turn on, but i'm going to have to figure out a way to do that aswell. Essentially all i want to know is, is this possible. (If i can't figure it out on the tv, i'll use my laptop which is a rMBP).

Thanks guys!

I dont think you will find an alarm clock that will do that, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a way to do it all on your PC.

Check in your PC's BIOS if there's an option to turn the machine on at a specified time, if its there it would probably under something like Power Management. Might have to bust out the motherboard manual if your not sure how to get in there or what to look for.
Once that's set up and it boots at a certain time, from there you should be able to do everything in Windows.

Hit the Start Menu (if you use Win8, I have no idea where the equivalent will be) and go into "All Programs". Scroll down until you find a folder called "Startup". Anything that is placed within that folder will start automatically when...

Anything that is placed within that folder will start automatically when the computer is turned on, put your alarm noise into there and a web link to whatever weather service you follow. When the machine starts it should automatically go to that webpage and play that noise. You can use an application like StickyNotes (should already be on the machine if Win7) to write your workout schedule on, which basically acts like a post-it note on your desktop.

How to turn on the TV I have no clue, but if its relatively new it might have its own form of "turn on at certain time" function.
