Hello,
I've built my own PC and the specs are:
Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 (MB)
AMD Phenom II X4 965 (CPU)
Nvidia GTX 650 (GPU)
4 GB Ram
Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit (OS)

My PC freezes randomly to the point where some applications are not responding and I have to wait in order for them to "unfreeze". I've checked my RAM using memtest86 and had 0 errors, I also have the latest graphics drivers for my GPU.
My GPU is running at 30 degrees celcius idle.

Device manager contains no errors.

My previous Win 7 OS was corrupt so I had to re install it completely, however I did click on option save my files and now I have windows.old.folder that has corrupt data.

I think that it's my OS fault, what do you guys think and how can I check if it's OS' fault?

Best regards,
Alex.

DXDIAG.

You can scan integrity of protected system files by opening a command prompt with admin access then type the command:
sfc /scannow

This is the System File Checker.
It will take awhile to complete.

Is it possible you have a virus?

When you say that it freezes does it mean that your system crashes or just takes a long time to open a program?
What specific programs?
Are all your drivers up to date?
How large is your HDD? When the system seems to freeze, does your HDD seem to be working hard?

I have just installed this OS, and I also have AVG antivirus along with Spybot s&d installed, so I doubt it's a virus.
Drivers are up to date most likely, cause I just installed all the drivers, but I might've missed some drivers.
