Hey Guys,

So initially I thought of purchasing a gtx 780 for a currently 1080p setup. But then I noticed that 2 x GTX 680s in SLI actually work out to be cheaper and overall give better performance? Keeping in mind that I do plan to upgrade to a 2560x1444 monitor in the near future and the fact that I've never run SLI or Crossfire so it's all new to me. Which would be better?

Thanks,
Appreciate all responses

A pair of GTX760 in SLI yield about 15% higher performance than a single GTX780 at 1440p : http://legitreviews.com/article/2224/1/ A GTX780 is only better if you plan to have a triple monitor setup. For running SLI, you'd need a motherboard that supports SLI, and a PSU from at least tier 2b in this list : eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx with wattage of at least 700.
