I recently installed a new SSD into my laptop and kept my old hard drive as an external. I realized I cannot find the CD that came with the drivers and on the manufacture website I need some type of authentication to get to them so I'm in the process of waiting for all of that. While I'm waiting I thought I'd ask if there is any way I can just transfer JUST the drivers safely from my old HDD to my SSD?

You can go into the device manager and tell it to update the drivers and point it to your old drive.

I'll have to try that when I get home. What about newer drivers?

There is no way to transfer driver from your hdd to ssd. what is your laptop model? I think you just go to support site of your laptop, there will be an option to download driver. Otherwise, you can check your devices in device manager and manually search and download each driver from google.
