Hi, I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a new 250GB Seagate HDD. The HDD model is st250dm000. The install requires a driver to detect the HDD so that I can install the OS. I found a driver here: http://www.solvusoft.com/en/update/drivers/internal-hard-drive/seagate/desktop-hdd/st250dm000/model-numbers/ and put it on a USB stick. However, when I tried browsing for HDD drivers at that point in the Windows 7 install, it said that it couldn't find any signed drivers.

Does anyone know where I can find a signed driver for the Seagate st250dm000 HDD?

Are you sure the installation requires a driver to install OS? It's a bit strange and I never heard of anything like this before. If it's a new HDD and you are trying to install OS on it there is no need to install any drivers just install the OS it will supply the needed driver(if needed).

If you are referring to the new firmware for HDD, than first install OS than check for the new firmware, here is the link.

Good news. It turned out that the previous faulty HDD was still in the machine and had not been swapped as I had originally thought. I have fitted the new HDD and the Windows 7 is installing okay now.
