Fan Controller recommendations?

I have had multiple issues with higher end fans producing clicking noises due to being connected to my NZXT Phantom's built-in fan controller. Has anyone ever found a fan controller that uses a voltage control that does not "pulse" the voltage, which is what I have heard causes the clicking.

Thanks for any help, recently moved to water cooling and the clicking on my radiator fans (Corsair SP120s), has been driving me nuts!

Yeah reading about that one it seemed like some where getting clicking from their fans. Essentially, I need a fan controller that does not operate using PWM control, but rather voltage only. The PWM control causes some 3-pin fans to tick. I have not found anything yet.

pretty sure this was voltage only control but typically its not on nzxt website any more to check

i have 8 fans on it with no issues

maybe its down to the fans used ?

edit--reading a few old reviews on it says its controlled by a potentiometer

far as i can gather that means no pwm

I also use the NZXT Sentry Mix, its a shame they'v gone out of production.

Your thinking of PWM control, which very few fan controllers (much less manual ones) use. A pentiometer is just a variable resistor, it works through voltage control and not PWM.
