Hey guys, So I just bought this board a few days ago, and I noticed once I put together that the board is defaulting to 1600Mhz, instead of the 1866 my RAM is rated for, I tried manually changing the configuration to 1866 and it fails to start up, with RAM error beeps, and i tried boosting the voltage up and it fails as well. The RAM I got is G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866MHz CL9 Dual Channel Kit (F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL).

If anyone can think of another way i might be able to get it set to 1866 please let me know

In the tweaking or advanced area, should be a option for enabling XMP or DOCP (AMDs version of OCing profiles for DRAM), if either available, enable it and try the 1866 option...else have to set up manually....what CPU are you running, the 8150, 8320, and 8350 can normally and reliably run 1866 sticks, moat others are 1600 or below

Thats one thing I read about when trying to find a solution to my troubles and had never heard of, and when I checked my BIOS for something that says XMP, the only thing it shows up on is a sort of monitoring tab called tools, where it states the XMP but i can't make any changes, such as changing a profile.

I will take a look, now that you mention it, I do remember seeing DOCP I will give that a try, and I'm running the 8350

Alright so I tried to use profile #0 and it knocked me down to 14XXMhz, which was what would happen if i tried to manually change it before, if it didnt fail it would knock me down to that, so i changed my profile to #1 and it seems to be running at 1866, I guess thats a success! don't fix what aint broke right? lol

Thanks alot for the clarification and help guys, this forum is truly awesome cuz of guys like yourselves.
