Hi, a friend of mine has a Sapphire HD 4890 1 GB card which started to give artefacts about 2 weeks ago all of a sudden, meaning horizontal lines and vibrating picture.
Since than he bought a new PSU, which didn't helped and tried an old HD 5450 which worked flawlessly so we thought it must be the GPU, but he tried the GPU in another PC in which it was perfect.
Also, he tried different versions of CCC and even did a full format and reinstalled everything but the artefacts are still there.
The temps are within reason, 60-70°C and the fan seem to work fine.
He changed his case a couple of weeks ago, maybe that has something to do with it, even though it's not completely linked with the beginning of the problem.
Also, the artefacts are present even if he's only browsing, but more potent during 3D applications.
