Hi guys,

These are my planned components of my first build (Switching over from Apple back to PC! - Better value for money!)

I've included the selling price of the items here in the UAE...Very similar to newegg.

So here they are:

Case:
Aimaxx EnvicaseOne (294AED) http://www.aimaxx.com/download/en/aimaxx_envicase-one_e...

PSU :
COOLERMASTER 700W PFCV2.3 B SERIES, 12CM FAN 80PLUS (367AED)
http://gear-up.me/coolermaster-700w-pfcv2-3-b-series-12...

Fans:
(1) The included CM fan 80mm
(2) Fractal Design Silent Series 80mm R2 (34AED)
(3) Fractal Design Silent Series 92mm R2 (34AED)
(4) Fractal Design Silent Series 92mm R2 (34AED)
(5) Fractal Design Silent Series 120mm R2 (41AED)
Total = 143AED

MOBO:
MSI Z87-G43 [1150] (540AED)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Processor:
Intel Core I7 4770k 3.5GHz [1150] (1391AED)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Graphics Card:
MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC G (881AED)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

RAM:
16GB DDR3 1600MHz [240Pin] Kingston HyperX (584AED)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

SSD:
120GB Kingston SSDNOW v300 SataIII 2.5 "7mm (423AED)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

HDD:
1TB Seagate SV35.5 Series 64MB cache SataIII 7200RPM (316AED)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Total: 4939AED // USD1344.68 (xe.com/ucc)
________________

Those are all the items.

My questions to all the experienced people out there;

(1) Would you change or add anything to this build?
(2) Is this a good value for money build?
(3) What other bits and pieces would I need? (Sata cables, power cables etc)

Side Notes:
(1) I am not looking for flashy lights and fish tanks inside the case, i dont mind a simple case/parts to cut down the costs in every corner but maximise the performance. Essentially, I do not mind about the aesthetics, more so the value of the performance.

(2) My primary use for this machine will be to edit video in programs such as Premiere, Final cut etc.

(3) I am currently rocking a 2010 MacbookPro 15 Inch with a 2.66 i7 dual-core, 500GB @ 7200rpm, Nvidia 330m 512mb, 8gb Corsair ram and the matte hi-res screen. Model 6.2. (Under performing at the moment for my projects.

Any help or advice about the whole process is very much appreciated, thanks for your time!

Thanks for the reply. I dont need a keyboard, mouse, or monitor. So thats an extra 300$ or so to put to something else.

I want to understand why this spec is better than the original one
